About Maisey
My name is Maisey and I have been studying sociology for the past 4 years. This is alongside a whole lump of other disciplines: -Psychology and psychiatry -Social research methods and methodology -Ethics and philosophy -Science, religion and politics. Listing these is not a brag; I am just very interested in many areas of the humanities/social science bubble! Learning about sociology particularly has been my greatest interest so far with its many links to studying crime, gender, culture and much more! My approach to tutoring will always come from a welcoming place. From the past, I have understood the battles with essay writing, difficult concepts, and often limited content taught within schools. My approach is to help students truly understand the topics they are engaging in, explaining how insightful sociology can be in the real world. In many ways, I will reference popular culture (films, books or journalism) to reference core theory and prove that the social world is not so difficult to grasp.

Can offer sessions as short as 30 minutes (lecturing style) or up to 2 hours (in depth discussion/seminar style). For GCSE/A-level students/aiming to study humanities or social science at uni. Willing to engage in topics or themes of choice. There is little I am not passionate about so trust that sessions will be engaging! Difficult concepts will be broken down and practical applications of theory will be drawn. For anyone who looks to revise knowledge or even reach higher grades. Studied sociology/psychology A-level. Current third year undergraduate in Liberal Arts with Sociology major.
