About Ivy
I want to teach because I would one day like to be a lecturer. Teaching children is the first step to teaching adults, but I think children should be given the proper tools to learn in their own style. I am a university student myself, so I know how it feels to be constantly learning new material.

My goal as a tutor is to help students lose the need for my services. I have experience with Biology and the sciences as well as writing and grammar skills, but the goal for me is to help kids learn how to obtain the available resources themselves along with tutoring from me on those topics. I believe that with help, students are capable of learning how to use the resources they have been given to be successful. My method of teaching is to go over the materials the student is struggling with, teaching in a way that gives the student confidence in the subject. Typical lengths of a lesson would be either 30 minutes or an hour, with the location being at your house or meeting somewhere public such as a coffee shop. Lessons are meant for primary and secondary school children, and I will tutor anywhere from 5-14.
