I enjoy taking the time to proofread essays in diverse subjects as it inspires me to research new topics, and by helping me to understand student's writing methods it helps me to develop my teaching skills.
I am preparing to complete a PGCE and to obtain QTS to become a secondary school teacher.
Studying philosophy developed my ability to critically analyse academic research and clearly communicate complex interdisciplinary, philosophical and logical concepts and arguments with excellent accuracy and attention to detail, within challenging time constraints; requiring and developing excellent written communication, critical thinking, planning, time management and research skills.
My philosophy degree and history CertHE as well as first class grades for numerous university assignments, having completed masters level units, and my passion for reading widely, provide me with extensive knowledge in arts and humanities subjects, particularly philosophy, history and ethics, as well as a good understanding of many concepts in politics and law and other fascinating subjects.
This enables me to precisely proofread and sense check essays and dissertations, and to provide clear ideas for potential areas of improvement.
My rate is approximately 1250/ 1500 words per hour, depending on the specifics of the work. This rate is based on correcting the work of a student whose native language is not English.
I have taught English as a foreign language to around 350 students of all age groups and backgrounds, and I have experience working as a cover supervisor in UK secondary schools. I have consistently gained high praise from students and managers for my excellent teaching ability and for helping students to progress quickly.
I have a 100-hour TEFL certificate, and I am reading A levels in English literature, media studies and film studies.
