About Ollie
My name is Ollie, and I am an incoming Student at the University of Bristol studying History. Having achieved 8 A*s at GCSE and A*A*A*A at A Level, I know what examiners look for in a student to achieve top grades. I have a passion for teaching and have always enjoyed helping friends understand difficult concepts; tutoring is a means for me to develop this in a professional sphere. - As a recent A Level Student, I understand the difficulty in locating personal weaknesses. For this reason, my programme begins with a brief discussion about my students' knowledge of their subject and the drawing up of an individualised learning plan to ensure all ground is covered.
- I follow an interactive and back-and-forth style of teaching to ensure that my students are able to grasp the concepts that we cover, all while building confidence in the process.
- I am confident in my ability to communicate complex ideas in a way that can be understood by students of all abilities, which is essential for a student's confidence in the subject.
- I understand that exam practice is essential to success at A Level, and I encourage my students to complete given questions outside of lessons for me to mark and feedback during lesson time.
