About Shaimerden (Sham)
I have graduated from Cambridge in 2022 with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering. I did my GCSEs and A Levels in South Yorkshire, obtaining 10A*s and A*A*A*A (Maths, Further Maths, Physics, French).
During my year abroad I studied at CentraleSupélec University, one of the best engineering schools in France and top 16 in the world, where I came top 5% of the cohort.
Since university I have worked for as a programmer in Jane Street, one of the top quantitative finance firms in the world.
I was the first person in my family to go to university and lived on free school meals for years. Coming from a disadvantaged background and without speaking English when I moved to the UK, I love tutoring as it allows me to share knowledge and opportunity the way I wish I could have received back in school!

I help you to attain your goals with personalised tuition. This involves a combination of focussed revision, repeated testing, detailed feedback and frequent questioning.
I have helped over 15 students get into the top UK universities like Oxbridge and Imperial. I have improved my students’ GCSE and A Levels grades from C-B grade to A-A* and stretched them to obtain extra GCSEs such as Further Maths.
Lessons are conducted on Microsoft Teams, where we can share our screens to work through problems together as a team.

Perfect! Sham has been great at clarifying some of the A-level physics concepts that our son has been finding difficult. He's able to things back to first principles and after just a few lessons our son is much more confident. He prepares the lessons really well and sends tutorial notes summarising what they've covered in the lesson.
Perfect! Learning with Sham was excellent.
In an incredibly short amount of time, he recognized where my defects were and organized lessons accordingly. He broke down each concept into simple bits which helped me gain a new level of understanding of things like differentiation and integration.
