About Emily
I am a Psychology graduate from the University of Cambridge, where I also took papers in neuroscience and philosophy. This broad subject grounding allows me to be more prepared for some of the complex questions and debates that can ground both the GCSE and A-level syllabi. I always enthusiastically assisted my friends during secondary school, often comparing essays and giving mutual feedback. I am patient and encouraging, and hope to inspire confidence rather than the dread that can often come with extended essays. I look forward to hearing from you!

I believe in the importance of both having a close understanding of the underlying material whilst also specialising towards the expectations of the exam board. I look to establish a baseline across each of the broad areas of assessment and focus on developing knowledge of key studies and their implications alongside quantitative and statistical capability. Pre-existing teaching resources can often be overly vague in explaining meaningful elements of study design, particularly their justification, which I can elucidate given my experience preparing and executing several research projects, achieving a First in my dissertation. I also am skilled in aiding with developing chains of argument for study evaluation, a key skill for achieving A-A* grades, whilst ensuring sufficient contextualisation. I am open to teach GCSE and A-level students in London of any skill level, and will generally aim to focus on the highest-yield knowledge and skills towards achieving the best grades possible.
