University of Cambridge trained educator in Philosophy, Theology, Ethics and Religious Studies

Methodology

I like to to facilitate students discussions around the big questions in life. My teaching style reflects this dialogic and flexible approach. I enable students to define key concepts, back up their ideas with scripture and develop the evaluation of these key ideas. Teaching techniques allow pupils to develop their research skills through open ended tasks.

Experience

I hold a BA in Philosophy and Theology from Heythrop College, the University of London’s specialist Philosophy and Theology college.
I also hold an MA in Global Ethics and Human Values from King’s College London.
I trained as an education volunteer with CAFOD and formally at University of Cambridge where I obtained a PGCE in Secondary Religious Studies.
My particular academic areas of interest are Catholic Social Teaching, LGBT Catholic Theology, Religious Language in a secular age and Christian responses to current global issues. My educational practice is based in religious literacy and developing evaluation and essay writing skills.
