About Heidi
Enchanté !
As a second-year student at the University of Florida, the style of US public school French curriculum is still very fresh in my mind. I graduated with an IB diploma, scoring a 6 in IB French B, which marks upper-intermediate proficiency and mastery of the core basics. I am currently advancing my studies with Intermediate French II at the University level.
In addition to my language studies, I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a minor in Music Performance. I am currently taking, and have taken, weekly private music lessons on my primary instrument for five years- an experience that has made me incredibly aware of the benefits that come from individual, specialized feedback.
Furthermore, my two years of professional experience in the hospitality industry—most recently with the luxury Opal Collection—has equipped me with strong communication, patience, and adaptability. I look forward to bringing these transferable skills directly into my work as an educator.

My teaching style is patient, reassuring, and gently constructive, so my target tutoring audience is beginning elementary and middle-school students that are just entering the world of language-learning.
As a current student myself, I am aware that language acquisition is by no means a one-size-fits-all game! After determining your child's strengths, areas for improvement, and learning style with a quick diagnostic, I will implement the format of his or her French class into a highly personalized lesson plan. That way, all content areas may be addressed, and in the manner that is most optimal for your child's language learning journey.
Learning a language is an incredibly rewarding experience, and my goal is not only to improve your child's knowledge and technical skill level, but also to help them find joy in the practice and study of French and gain increased confidence in their academic abilities. Allons-y !

Details
As a new tutor, most of my current experience is derived from answering the questions of fellow classmates and helping my little brother with his homework. For this reason, initial lesson prices will remain relatively low and rates may scale gradually over time as I gather more experience and implement parent and student feedback.
