About Melissa
Hi! I’m Melissa, a community development professional with a passion for helping others learn, grow, and build confidence. My background has allowed me to work with people from a wide range of ages, cultures, and abilities, and I’ve learned that patience, encouragement, and clear communication can make all the difference.
I’m someone who genuinely enjoys reading, writing, and meaningful conversations, and I love helping others find confidence in expressing themselves. Whether it’s improving grammar, expanding vocabulary, strengthening reading comprehension, or simply becoming more comfortable speaking English, I strive to make learning approachable, engaging, and tailored to each individual’s needs.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with a good book, crocheting, baking, or exploring new creative hobbies. I believe learning should be enjoyable, and I bring that same positive, supportive energy into every tutoring session.

With a background in community development and social services, I’ve developed strong communication skills and understand that every learner has unique strengths, challenges, and ways of processing information. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor my teaching style to meet each student’s needs, making lessons engaging, practical, and easy to understand.
