About Gift
Hi, I’m Gift, a university student with a strong interest in Accounting. I currently study Accountancy at the University of Johannesburg, where I am developing my knowledge of Financial Accounting and related business subjects. I am also studying Mathematics for Finance and Business, which strengthens my ability to work with calculations and apply mathematical concepts in practical situations.
I believe good tutoring starts with understanding the student’s needs. My teaching approach is patient, structured and practical. I break complex topics into manageable steps, explain the reasoning behind each method, and use worked examples and exam-style questions to help students apply what they learn.

My Accounting lessons are designed for high-school learners who want to understand the subject clearly and improve their ability to answer questions independently. As an Accountancy student at the University of Johannesburg, I bring current academic knowledge and a practical approach to each lesson.
I do not believe in simply giving learners answers. I explain the reasoning behind each step, work through examples with the learner, and then allow them to apply the method themselves. This helps identify gaps in understanding and builds confidence over time.
A typical lesson starts by identifying the topic or areas the learner is struggling with. We then cover the relevant concepts, work through examples step-by-step and practise with Accounting questions. Depending on the learner's needs, lessons can also focus on homework, test preparation, revision, past-paper questions or examination preparation.
I can support learners with topics such as bookkeeping, the accounting equation, financial statements, adjustments, reconciliations, inventory, cost accounting, budgeting and other Grade 10–12 Accounting topics.
I teach in English and can also use isiZulu and Sepedi to explain concepts when this helps the learner understand the work better.
My lessons are aimed at Grade 10, Grade 11 and Grade 12 learners, including students who need additional support, want to strengthen their foundation or are preparing for tests and examinations. My goal is to help each learner understand Accounting rather than simply memorise procedures.

I offer affordable, structured tutoring in Accounting for high-school learners. My aim is to make quality academic support accessible while giving learners consistent weekly practice.
Individual lesson — R75 per hour
This option is suitable for learners who want help with a specific topic, homework, test preparation or occasional academic support. Each session is focused on the learner's individual needs.
Monthly tutoring programme — R400 per month
For learners who want consistent support throughout the month, I offer a monthly programme at R400.
The programme includes:
* 3 sessions per week
* Sessions held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
* Regular revision and practice
* Concept explanations
* Homework assistance
* Test and examination preparation

The monthly programme is designed for learners who benefit from regular contact and continuous practice rather than only receiving help before a test or examination.
What the weekly sessions focus on
Friday — Learn & Understand
We introduce or revise the week's topic. I explain the concept step-by-step and work through examples with the learner.
Saturday — Practise & Apply
The learner applies the concept through exercises and exam-style questions. I identify mistakes and explain how to correct them.
Sunday — Revise & Prepare
We review the week's work, reinforce difficult areas and use questions to check the learner's understanding.
