About Sharmaine
I am a former journalist, then media marketing manager. I am now a business manager, and have had interns work under me in each industry. Sharing my knowledge, helping students learn and grow is something I am incredibly passionate about achieving.
I also spear-headed the roll-out of a provincial Spelling Bee for senior high school pupils.
I am a dedicated, resourceful and goal-driven professional with a solid commitment to the social and academic growth and development of my students.

I believe that each student responds to unique teaching aproaches. I prefer to understand a student's preferred learning style and attempt to adapt my approach to suit. I find this enables an improved teacher/student relationship through understanding and communication.
As my focus, and predominantly taught subject is English, I describe the learning of this subject as conversational. I opt to create a cooperative community in my lessons and encourage debates and feedback - this allows for students to apply their minds more and to think from various points of view.
