About Sara
My professional life has been built around the art of high-impact communication. I am a native English speaker, with a BA in English, and a Masters and PhD in History. I worked as a civil servant within the UK Diplomatic Service and I have seen academic life from either side having worked as a university lecturer and an administrator. I am also a published author. During a long professional career I have been trained as a speaker, negotiator and organiser. But teaching my native language at an advanced level and helping students to understand and enjoy its complexities is one of my greatest pleasures.

I am a highly accomplished, CELTA-qualified native speaker with a PhD. I have over a decade of teaching experience at university level and two decades professional experience as a member of HM Diplomatic Service. I specialise in guiding advanced adult students through professional and business English, cultural nuance and English for academic and creative writing. My student-centred approach focuses entirely on your autonomy, life experience, and professional communication needs and goals.
