About Maansi
Hi, I’m Maansi. I’m originally from India and currently based in London. I moved to the UK to study Business at the University of Manchester, and I recently relocated to London to work on building my own business.
Badminton has been a sport I’ve enjoyed for many years. I started playing during my school years in India and represented my school in state-level badminton competitions twice. These experiences helped me develop a strong understanding of the fundamentals of the game, including technique, movement, and match play.
While studying at the University of Manchester, I continued playing badminton and was actively involved with the university badminton community. I was part of the women’s badminton team and also served as a Club Night Captain, where I helped organise badminton sessions and support other players during practice.
I am patient, encouraging, and enjoy helping beginners build their confidence in the sport. My aim is to create a comfortable and supportive learning environment where students can develop their skills step by step while enjoying the process of learning badminton.

My approach to coaching badminton is focused on making the sport enjoyable, structured, and easy to learn, especially for beginners and young players. I believe that building strong fundamentals early helps students gain confidence and improve quickly.
In my lessons, I start by teaching the basics such as correct grip, footwork, and racket control. I break down each movement step by step so students can understand the technique before practising it through simple drills and rallies. I also include fun practice games to help students develop coordination, timing, and confidence on the court.
A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes. We usually begin with a short warm-up and movement exercises, followed by technique practice such as serving, basic shots, and footwork drills. The session then includes rally practice or simple game situations so students can apply what they have learned.
I have been playing badminton since my school years in India and represented my school in state-level competitions twice. While studying Business at the University of Manchester, I continued playing badminton and was part of the university badminton team. I also served as a Club Night Captain, where I helped organise badminton sessions and supported other players during practice.
My lessons are best suited for beginners and young players, particularly children who are new to badminton and want to learn the fundamentals in a friendly and supportive environment.
I also welcome adults who want to learn the sport for fitness, fun, or to improve their basic skills.
My goal is to help students develop confidence, improve their technique, and most importantly enjoy playing badminton.
