About Jake
I am very new at private tutoring. The closest I've come to actually tutoring are family, friends and other colleagues that have required assistance. However, to be more experienced, I need to give more lessons to others.
Therefore, I've only helped a few people, however, I've heard positive feedback. I've helped to person tremendously in terms of understanding.
My sister was sitting a class mock test in preparation for her GCSEs. She wasn't taught a certain area which always arose in GCSE exam papers, (Vectors). I had to start from the beginning and explain each aspect of the area, and what type of questions will come. She received full marks for the Vectors questions and got top of her class for her results.

My name is Jake Paul, currently a student undertaking a Bachelor Degree of Mathematics at Brunel University London. I am going into my second year.
At Strode's College, May/June 2016, I received an overall grade B for A-Level Mathematics under exam board Edexcel. Additionally, during GCSEs, I received a grade A for Mathematics under the exam board Edexcel.
The first things I will ask is what problems you're having in the subject and which level of education you're currently asking for. I ask the tutor will refresh my knowledge on that area, to prepare and find a variety of questions to help improve.
1. Firstly, I will explain the area of Mathematics that you're struggling from, based on the research which I would have done prior to the session.
2. After, I will ask if you've understand my explanation, (no harm if you haven't that's what the next step is for).
3. Mathematics isn't a subject where you can read a book and completely understand and 100% say you can do it if you was presented with a question. Therefore, with questions you can start forming pathways in your brain to find the answer a lot easier. With constant practice with the questions, every part of the explanation that I would have given would start to sink in and hopefully make sense.
4. We look at more questions, except this time you'll undergo the questions by yourself. I will be there to assist if your confused. This step is like taking the training wheels off and you're riding the bike by yourself.
I am very supportive when it comes to helping with the subject. I'm not strict, I provide gentle encouragement to you hopefully understanding the area which you've been struggling. I've helped my siblings and friends with much success. I'm here to help, not to criticise.
I know that everybody's' system for retaining information is different, which why I will also ask you how you best take in information and therefore adjust to your method.
