About Nicole
I am a recent first-class biochemistry graduate from the University of Oxford and have over 5 years of tutoring experience. I have taught pupils with a mix of abilities ranging in age from 5-19 years for qualifications such as 11+, GCSEs, and A-Levels. This has included one-to-one, small group, and small class tuition. I have also supported students with learning difficulties in this time.
Alongside face-to-face tuition, I have also worked extensively for a popular revision resource website, creating, editing and reviewing their biology, chemistry and maths exam materials, giving me an in-depth knowledge of different curriculums and exam boards.
While I have always loved learning myself, I have found teaching to be even more rewarding, and enjoy making learning accessible to everyone,

My teaching approach involves first establishing the student's understanding of the given topic area followed by a discussion of the aims and focus of the lesson. I can then tailor the lesson and teaching approach to that student specifically.
I use a variety of methods when teaching to ensure maximum understanding and retention. This includes beginning lessons with quick fire recall from previous work- a technique based on the forgetting curve!
