Hi there! My name is Ana, I'm a University of Oxford graduate (PhD in Migration Studies) who is currently working as a Research and Policy Consultant for IOM, the United Nations migration agency.
As you've probably guessed, I'm a huge nerd, and I'd like to help you channel your inner nerd too.
I specialise in language, and putting it to good use. As a native speaker of English and Spanish, I am a certified translator with plenty of experience as an interpreter for immigrant/refugee children, as well as volunteering to prepare foreign students for their US citizenship exams.
While many tutors out there can support students with their language learning goals, my focus when working with students is to help them sound comfortable, and get their point across clearly.
This applies to writing as well! For both students and professionals, written communication is key. Whether we are trying to pass exams, get into university, or get a job, expressing ourselves confidently can be a difficult skill to master. From essays, to university applications, to cover letters for a dream job, I can help you structure your ideas!
