My teaching method is split into four areas: Reading; writing; speaking; listening. To begin with, I will be using 'teach yourself Hindi' textbook, to get a grasp of the grammar. We will be reading basic stories about mythology and culture, and develop into reading journalism and higher literature. The listening component will be us hearing and breaking down what is said in the news, various podcasts and videos. We will try to speak in the academic sessions, to help learn how to conjugate sentences. I like to support my students, and validate their thought processes, step by step. This allows me to understand their thought process, so that I can adapt my teaching to optimize their learning.
I am currently studying BA Sanskrit with Hindi and Urdu, and am in my second year. I have worked on UNIQ summer school twice, providing academic support to the students, and helping them with their UCAS applications to highly selective universities.
