The method I choose to use when teaching is very much dependent on the needs of my individual student. I personally am a visual learner, and like to incorporate visual presentations and graphics into my lessons, but will tailor my lessons to the needs of my student and the way that they learn best themselves.
Lessons will begin with a recap of prior knowledge and previous lessons and will build from there. Most lessons will be connected and learning will be cumulative. Fun and interesting teachings techniques will also be introduced to keep your lessons engaging and prevent boredom. I want you to understand the material I will be tutoring you on, rather than just memorise it.
I am currently studying Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick after having received an A grade at A-Level in the UK. I received full UMS as AS and as a result am particularly proficient in the politics of the United Kingdom and exam techniques for A Levels. I am also knowledgeable in the field of US Politics and Political History, having done American Politics at A2 Level and Advanced Placement (Or University Introduction) courses in US History and Government while in High School in the United States.
I have substantial experience tutoring and the students I have taught at various points in my life since I was 14 have on average seen their results go up between 1 and 3 grades.
I look forward to working with you soon!
