About Megan
I am a very hard-working student, who has fallen in love with and fully immersed herself in the French language, going so far as to work and live in a flat in Toulon for a year. Through my work as a teacher/tutor, I learned how to make learning interesting and fun whilst still being effective and informational. For me, lessons being interesting and fun for each individual is very important, because I know personally how difficult it is to learn a language, and want to show students that it isn't all just studying grammar and verb conjugations, but it can also be really interesting and exciting!

After working as an English teacher and private tutor in France for a year, I have learnt the best way to teach individuals is by first doing an introductory lesson to understand their level of language, and then planning a curriculum for them based on their level, as well as asking them what they struggle most with and incorporating this. If they are preparing for an exam or specific piece of coursework, I will research the requirements to succeed in this piece of work and base my lessons off of this. I work with conversational questions to improve spoken fluency, grammar exercises and games to help improve grammar without being too boring, as well as creative writing tasks in order to improve vocabulary and writing. The oldest I have previously tutored is 14 but I am more than happy to tutor any age up to 16.
