About Amy
I have been teaching piano for 3 years now, working with students of all ages and abilities, and helping them achieve graded studies. My music schooling means I am confident in sight reading and musical notation. Piano is a wonderful instrument, and no matter what age you are I would love to grow your skills and enthusiasm for it.

Depending on your age and ability my methods will vary slightly, but in general I use a target system. Each week we will choose a target; whether it be to learn a new note or to finish a piece. I will then work with the student on how to achieve said goal and then give them a weeks practice before we see how they have improved and where we can take it next. I have found this to be an excellent way to inspire the student to set their own goals and improve their skills with my help.
