About River
I was diagnosed with Aspergers when I was 15, and having understood my diagnosis and my abilities, managed to gain As and A*s at GCSE and A level. As a psychology student, I have studied special needs including Aspergers and Autism, and have tutored students with autism before.

I’m offering mentoring for any primary, secondary or A level students with aspergers. I know the struggle of getting through the school system with or without a diagnosis, and through my own learning and teaching others, have learned many ways of coping and dealing with Aspergers. I can provide a safe space to assist with learning and coping mechanisms of how to succeed with an Aspie brain.

River has been working with me since she was 17, teaching on chamber music and music theory courses. She is very well taught herself, and this comes through in her delivery of both one-to-one and small group lessons. She is a natural musician, able to convey her enthusiasm for music and is experienced at teaching all ages from 5-adult. I recommend her unreservedly.
River’s been teaching me to play violin for a couple of months now and she’s been very good at it. Everything is explained clearly and at a pace that suits me and with a great deal of patience and enthusiasm for the instrument. Until I’d started learning with her, I had no idea I even wanted to learn the instrument, and she’s inspired me to continue with it.
