About Michael
I am a researcher who is in the middle of getting a PhD - this means I am an expert when it comes to learning and teaching. I have given lessons in big laboratories, with small groups of students as well as 1 to 1. Learning a subject and learning how to learn are priceless skills for a student.
I have mentored and taught hundreds of young people in the past ten years, and it brings me a great deal of joy to see each of them progress on and fulfil their potential, not only in academic skills but as a scout leader too.

I teach using methods I have found work best; by making diagrams, having real discussions of the topic and encouraging independent thinking! Remembering something is nowhere near as effective as really understanding something so this is my goal for each student. This method will help pass exams and it will build a learning style that will benefit a student all of their life.
