About Daniel
I’ve been playing tennis for 15 years, starting with my dad who taught me the importance of good technique and fundamentals from an early age. I competed at a high level in Germany as a junior and attended training camps with experienced coaches.
After moving to the UK, tennis became less of a priority for a while, but I rediscovered my love for the sport at university and now compete for the University of Edinburgh BUCS team. I also hold a German tennis coaching certificate.
I love improving my own game and helping others do the same, and I want to share my passion for tennis in a way that is fun, clear and genuinely useful.

My coaching approach is influenced by the German coaches I trained with, with a strong focus on technique and fundamentals. I see tennis development as a pyramid: we build a solid foundation first and then work upwards, with each student starting at the right level.
Lessons aren’t just about hitting balls until they go in—especially for beginners, we may use exercises without a racquet to build fundamentals that make tennis more enjoyable in the long run. I also adapt to each student’s goals and what they want to improve.
Lessons are typically 1 hour, including a warm-up, coaching session, and short cool-down. Sessions can be 1-to-1 or in groups of up to 4, with all ages and levels welcome.
