About Elena

Hello future hospitality stars, I'm Elena, a passionate and dynamic 24-year-old educator in the thrilling world of hospitality management. With a Bachelor's degree in International Hospitality Management from NHL Stenden University in the vibrant city of Leeuwarden, Friesland, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a fresh perspective to the classroom. My major in Events Management has fuelled my journey, allowing me to dive deep into the art of crafting unforgettable experiences. I’ve honed my skills as an Event Planner for luxury resorts, where I orchestrated high-end events that left guests in awe and created lasting memories. Join me in exploring the fascinating realms of hospitality, where we'll unlock the secrets to creating exceptional guest experiences, mastering event planning, and shaping the future of luxury and leisure. Let's embark on this exciting journey together and make waves in the hospitality industry! Can't wait to meet you all and share the magic of hospitality!

About the lesson

In tutoring International Hospitality Management, my approach is rooted in fostering a dynamic and interactive learning environment that mirrors the fast-paced and diverse nature of the industry itself. Here's how I typically structure my classes: 1. Engagement and Interaction: I believe active participation is key to learning. I kickstart classes with engaging icebreakers or thought-provoking questions to stimulate discussion and encourage students to share their thoughts and experiences. 2. Industry Insights: Drawing from my own experience and industry connections, I provide valuable insights into current trends, challenges, and best practices within the hospitality sector. This not only enriches the learning experience but also prepares students for the realities of the industry. 3. Customised Learning: Every student has unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. I tailor my teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning needs, ensuring that each student receives personalised attention and support. 4. Continuous Feedback and Assessment: I believe in the power of feedback to drive improvement. I provide regular assessments, constructive feedback, and one-on-one consultations to track student progress, address any challenges, and celebrate achievements along the way. 5. Encouraging Creativity and Innovation: Hospitality management is all about innovation and creativity. I encourage students to think outside the box, explore new ideas, and develop innovative solutions to industry challenges. This fosters a culture of creativity and entrepreneurship among my students. Overall, my goal is not just to impart knowledge but to empower students with the skills, confidence, and mindset they need to thrive in the dynamic world of International Hospitality Management. Through a blend of theory, practice, industry insights, and personalised support, I aim to equip my students with the tools they need to excel in their careers and make a positive impact in the industry.
