About Charvanaa
I am from Mauritius, where one of our official languages is French. I have been learning the language since kindergarten, and also minored in French and Francophone studies during my undergraduate studies at Haverford College in the U.S. I have a BSc degree in chemistry and I am currently a PhD candidate at University of Alberta in marine biogeochemistry. I have 3 years of experience in tutoring (French & Chemistry) and providing academic assistance.

Learning a new language is always a valuable skill and I enjoy helping in this process the same way people have helped me learn the languages I know. I start by assessing the student's fluency, finding their areas of difficulty/teaching needs, and understanding their methods of learning the language. I then try to tailor my teaching ability accordingly and help bridge any learning gap, ensuring that the student feels comfortable with the material and observes an improvement in their language skill.
