About Jonathan
Initially worked in industry, qualified as a teacher and have recently retired. I have a grown-up family including 4 grandchildren.
I like all sport but particularly enjoy rugby and cricket. I also enjoy general DIY and have partially renovated several houses.

I have taught sciences and chemistry up to A level standard for over thirty years in several comprehensives and have been a head of science. I am familiar with all examination boards including Level 3 BTEC and have marked externally for examination boards. I have tutored numerous students at A level standard for chemistry and GCSE level for physics and chemistry.
I always attempt to simplify work (where possible) to instil confidence and enjoyment. Lessons usually last one hour but time is mainly governed by content and objectives.
Since retiring, I only commit to tutoring four students per week to ensure quality of delivery.
I am not interested with online lessons as fine detail or difficult concepts can be misinterpreted.
