About Robert
As I have made clear I am a very experienced Economics teacher with over 30 years' experience. I believe trained, specialist economics teachers have become increasingly rare.
Over this time four students secured maximum marks on their A level papers.
I always want to develop an open dialogue with students. This enables us to secure trust in one another ensuring we focus on areas most in need of improvement and how best to meet individual needs.
Wherever possible I encourage and highlight positives in a student's learning but will also offer constructive criticism.
Economics is a passion and I love trying to instil a similar attitude in those I tutor.

About the lesson

Teaching approach: encouraging students to apply economics to the real world. Encouraging students to think critically and not simply accept traditional theories and ideas.
Lessons mixture of teacher-led explanations but wherever I can student tasks to encourage independent learning.
Regular testing and setting of exam questions to develop high-quality exam technique. Detailed assessment of answers and advice on improvements.
I have been tutoring online for 7 years. I am currently tutoring 3 students: 2 Russians (1 is preparing for Edexcel A level the other for IB) and a UK student preparing to sit AQA A level exam.
Whilst all my students up to now have been between 16-18 I would be comfortable tutoring older students.
