About Julie
I am a passionate teacher with over 30 years' experience. I have taught all year groups from Year 1 to Year 6, as well as at a local college teaching maths evening classes (maths functional skills) to adults. I have the Maths Specialist Teaching Qualification and maths is an area I particularly enjoy teaching. I just love seeing those 'light bulb' moments. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy holidaying in my caravan, walking, swimming and cycling.

I encourage the maths mastery approach to ensure deep, long-term, and secure understanding of mathematical concepts, rather than just memorisation. I will use a variety of techniques including using concrete materials, games and investigations to develop improved confidence and a love of maths.
