About Marcus
I have created a relaxing environment where I'm keen to help you learn the art of vinyl mixing including beat matching, EQing, and other techniques involved in perfecting a great set.
I will assess and custom the lessons to help you enjoy and learn at your pace. No previous knowledge or experience needed.
I have been DJing for over 20 years and have held residences in London and Surrey. Specializing in House music from the 90's to 00's, I'm keen to help those looking to learn a new skill or those wanting to rekindle a lost passion.

Initial lesson: This will typically be 90mins (first 30mins are free). I will discuss your desires and expectations, what you know and don't know, go over the decks, mixer and genres, discuss terminology and basic techniques to help you get the most from the lesson.
Lessons thereafter: Are typically 60 or 90mins. We'll recap on what we’ve worked on previously and then look to develop your skills further. We will look at different genres, more advanced techniques and a few tips to help you in your set building.
Recording lesson: Typically 90 or 120mins. Once you're ready and feel confident to record your own live mixes, we can discuss playlists (using your own records if you wish). Then look to put what you've learned into practice with a live recorded set. This can then be mastered and reproduced on CD for you to keep. (Additional costs apply).
All DJ lessons are at my home studio at TN12, Kent.

Perfect! Where do I begin with Marcus?
If you’re thinking about learning the incredible art of vinyl DJing, look no further, this is your guy. From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease in his presence.
To be honest, I found it quite challenging at first and felt like I was picking things up a bit slowly. But Marcus was endlessly patient and supportive throughout. He took the time to understand how I learn best and came up with unique, tailored ways of teaching that really worked for me.
