About Racim

Racim is a Canadian violist studying at the Schulich School of Music of McGill University in the class of Marina Thibeault.
He started playing the violin at the age of 12 and the viola at 16, joining the Mont-Royal Youth Orchestra at the same time. He completed his DEC in music at École de musique Vincent-d'Indy in the class of Jean MacRae and studied at music festivals like the Orford Music Academy and the Académie du Domaine Forget de Charlevoix. He also performed for the Orford Music Festival and the Festival International de musique du Domaine Forget. In 2025, he was invited by l'Orchestre Métropolitain to give a pre-concert Prelude.
Among the teachers whom he studied, there is Tatjana Masurenko, Kirsten Doctor, Michel Michalakakos, Michael Van Der Sloot and Wilhelm Magner.
Racim was also the winner of many prizes and scholarships, like the Mathieu Gaulthier-Thibeault scholarship, the Wirth Family String Scholarship from McGill, the teachers scholarship, a complete entrance scholar

About the lesson

I already teach in a high school, but I want a private studio. I will teach technique, but will always have musicality to pass down to students. I’m very passionate about performance, so I make sure to include a wide range of pieces, such as solo and orchestral excerpts.
