About Zoe
I am a violin tutor with 9 years of experience and a Master of Music in String Education. I enjoy helping students grow into confident musicians through encouraging lessons, practical instruction, and consistent support.
My teaching approach is flexible and focused on each learner's development. I encourage students to improve at their own pace while strengthening technique, musical expression, and performance confidence.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing with string ensembles, studying famous violin concertos, and mentoring young musicians. These experiences allow me to bring valuable performance knowledge and fresh inspiration into every lesson.

My violin lessons are planned to help students build strong technique while enjoying the expressive beauty of the instrument. We practice posture, bow control, finger placement, rhythm, tone production, intonation, listening skills, and coordinated movement through simple exercises that encourage confidence and steady improvement.
As learners advance, we study scales, shifting, vibrato, expressive phrasing, ensemble playing, sight reading, concert preparation, and focused practice routines. I also introduce mental rehearsal, relaxed warm-ups, and visualization techniques that help students perform with greater confidence and musical control.
My goal is to help every student become a confident violinist who enjoys both practice and performance. Every lesson builds technical ability, creativity, and appreciation for expressive music through supportive guidance.
