About Sadie
I am a violin tutor with 9 years of experience and a PhD in Classical String Performance. I enjoy helping students develop confidence through thoughtful instruction, supportive guidance, and carefully planned lessons that encourage meaningful progress.
My teaching style balances technical precision with artistic expression, allowing learners to improve comfortably while discovering their own musical voice. Every lesson is adapted to support individual goals and abilities.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing with orchestras, researching violin repertoire, and mentoring young musicians. These experiences allow me to bring valuable performance knowledge and fresh inspiration into every class.

My violin lessons help students build reliable technique while enjoying the expressive beauty of the instrument. We focus on posture, bow control, finger placement, tone production, rhythm, intonation, listening skills, and relaxed movement through structured exercises that encourage steady progress and confidence.
As students advance, we study scales, shifting, vibrato, sight reading, expressive phrasing, ensemble performance, concert preparation, and focused practice habits. I also introduce visualization, silent practice, and relaxation methods that help learners perform comfortably while improving musical expression.
My goal is to help every learner become a confident violinist with strong technical ability and expressive performance skills. Every lesson strengthens creativity, discipline, and appreciation for the art of violin playing.
