About Xing Yi
I have been teaching music to people of all ages from 2 years old and onwards since 2009. Other than being a music teacher, I am also a HCPC registered music therapist. My therapist background and my many years of teaching experiences enables me to adapt my teaching approach to each student's needs and learning pattern. I find joy to be in the learning journey with my students and watching them grow not only in their playing skills but also developing their own musical identity. I regularly prepare students for graded exams (ABRSM, Trinity beginner to Grade 8). I also teach students who wish to learn as a self-interest.

My teaching approaches are well-rounded. This includes music theory, aural, music history, playing techniques. They are lively incorporated in the lessons and tailored to each student's learning pattern. I believe encouraging good playing techniques and cultivating interest in music ensure students' enjoyment in music in the long run.
