About Catherine
Teaching provides a way to share the physical freedom I found through my own practice. You will find that my approach centers on the Alexander Technique to ensure your body remains relaxed while performing complex classical repertoire. My method emphasizes posture and release before addressing technique or shifting positions.
Over 13 years, I have worked with everyone from 4-year-old beginners to advanced students preparing for conservatory entrance. My home studio in Los Angeles serves as a space to refine your sight reading and left-hand agility.
I also guide students through scales, arpeggios, and grade exam prep for ABRSM or Trinity. Consistency matters. My goal is to build a foundation that supports your musical growth. Technique.
