Recorded playback of tricky passages for home practice is the standard here. Every student receives a custom analysis of their tone production to ensure clarity and health. I lean on my BMus from McGill to guide kids and intermediate players through the rigors of ABRSM or Trinity exams.
My focus on orchestral playing helps students build a solid foundation. You will find the pacing moves at a deliberate speed to encourage lasting improvement. Expect a practice environment that values consistency over perfection.

Teaching violin feels like uncovering a hidden resonance within someone else. I work primarily with intermediate learners, kids, and performance-focused students who want more than just notes on a page. Over 206 students have walked through my studio doors since I began my career. I find that building a relationship with each individual makes the technical grind of intonation and double stops far more rewarding.
My training at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec and McGill gives me the tools to fix rhythm and timing issues quickly. I observe how students approach their practice to better understand their unique musical identity. It brings me quiet satisfaction to watch a pupil finally master the bridge between their technique and their emotional expression. My primary goal remains consistent support for those dedicated to their craft.
