About Kathy
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have taught in both private and state schools, as well as having a private practice. I have taught from age 5 up to adults, beginners to post-Grade 8. I am experienced in working with string orchestras from Elementary to Youth Orchestra. I think it is important for teachers to be active musicians and I regularly play in orchestras and chamber groups.

Hi, I'm Kathy. I am a very experienced teacher of violin and viola. I believe in encouraging my pupils to be all-round, independent musicians and to inspire them with my love of making music. Please contact me if you are interested in taking lessons.

I teach violin and viola
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire with Diplomas in Teaching and Performing. I have a PGCE in Secondary music.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £32 for a hour, pro rata for shorter lessons.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at home which is in Aldridge, near Walsall in the West Midlands
- When are you available?
I am available from after school hours, day by arrangement.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach all ages, all levels.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I am happy to prepare pupils for exams and diplomas. I am equally happy for any pupil to choose not to take exams.
