About Jeffrey
I am currently a student studying at the University of Sydney and doing a part-time job of teaching the violin at a music academy.
I was born in New Zealand and moved to Sydney to pursue a better education and to go on an adventure. I have enjoyed my time here so far and one of the highlights has been having the opportunity to teach others the art of the violin.
Teaching and playing the violin has always been a passion of mine and I love watching others improve while enjoying the process of making music.

I am a patient yet determined person who does his best to make sure that his students improve but also have fun at the same time. I believe that playing the violin should always be comfortable and enjoyable; focusing on the music rather than what the hands are doing. Music connects the soul to the instrument and audience, expressing one's feelings and emotions through a crafted sound.
The typical length of a lesson is 30min to 1hour. Lessons are for students of all levels and ages who are interested in learning the violin.
I think that first learning the basics and developing the right habits are the foundation to progress toward manipulating the sound using various techniques to evoke a grreater sense of feeling and expression.
