About Catherine
I have my Bachelor's in Communication from BYU-Idaho and play in my local symphony currently. In high school, I was accepted into the State Symphony, played in the music pit for high school plays, as well as soloed for my school orchestra. I also was a member of my college symphony. All of these experiences were possible for me because I practiced and was put into situations to learn how to be more comfortable playing in front of audiences. I believe music changes the world and makes it a better place, and the violin is the most beautiful instrument of them all, though I'm biased. I'd love to be part of your journey to learning the violin!

I love the violin. I've been playing since I was 5 years old and it has been a constant in my life. I believe everyone should be able to play an instrument, and everyone can! I teach using the Suzuki method books, but can branch out as well, because there are so many beautiful pieces of music to learn. I have experience working with children in the elementary school setting as well as private students in the middle school age range. I'm also totally happy to teach anyone between the ages of 4-100, because it's never too late to learn! I have my Bachelor's in Communication from BYU-Idaho and play in my local symphony currently.
