About Jack
I am a violin tutor with 8 years of experience and a PhD in Music Performance. I enjoy helping students develop confidence through supportive guidance, structured learning, and enjoyable practice that leads to lasting improvement.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and focused on individual growth. I adapt every lesson to suit the learner's needs while strengthening both technical skills and artistic expression.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing with chamber ensembles, studying violin history, and exploring new interpretations of classical works. These experiences enrich my lessons and provide students with valuable musical insight.

My violin lessons help students build excellent technique while enjoying every stage of learning. We focus on posture, bow movement, finger accuracy, rhythm, tone production, intonation, listening skills, and relaxed playing through practical exercises that encourage steady improvement and musical confidence. Every lesson is planned to make progress enjoyable.
As learners advance, we explore scales, vibrato, shifting, sight reading, expressive phrasing, ensemble skills, concert preparation, and focused practice methods. I also teach visualization and relaxation techniques that help students perform comfortably while improving both confidence and musical expression.
My goal is to help every learner become a confident violinist with strong technical ability and expressive performance skills. Every lesson encourages discipline, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
