About Gregory
"Playing violin requires more than just correct finger placement on the strings. Real musicality starts when you stop thinking about the technical mechanics of the instrument. I earned my BMus Violin Performance from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music to refine my own craft.
These 4 years of teaching have allowed me to work with performance-focused students, returning learners, and hobbyists. My personal narrative involves years spent performing on stage and in the studio. I now dedicate my time to teaching violin full time. My sessions remain practical to ensure that progress is something you can actually hear.
Helping you build confidence is the core of my teaching studio. It is rewarding to see students find their voice. I enjoy helping people connect with music."

"Progress often feels stagnant when you focus only on the difficult parts. Simplicity creates faster results.
I use my 4 years of experience and BMus Violin Performance degree to guide your posture, intonation, and shifting positions. We address tuning by ear, tone production, and specific bowing techniques like spiccato.
My background informs how we approach music theory and orchestral playing. Vibrato is also a key focus. One session covers a lot.
I also provide a monthly progress report shared with parents. Music should remain fun."
