About Sophie
I have been playing the violin and viola professionally for more than 10 years. I also completed various music theory exams and am equipped to teach beginner to intermediate music theory lessons. I offer the UNISA, ABRSM and Trinity syllabi.
Music is my passion and my lessons are catered towards each student’s individual needs. Although I am classically trained, students can learn a variety of musical genres from me.

As both an experienced violin and viola teacher and a passionate musician, I create lessons that are patient, structured, and tailored to each student’s individual goals, age, and learning style. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to refine your technique, her supportive and conversational teaching approach makes learning enjoyable and approachable. What makes my lessons unique is the balance between strong technical foundations and inspiring musical expression, helping students not only play their instrument well, but truly connect with the music they create.
