About Ivy
With 9 years of experience as a violin tutor, I have successfully guided around 300 students, including high school students, college learners, and adults, helping them develop both technical skills and confidence. My teaching approach is simple, structured, and flexible, allowing students to learn at their own pace.
I focus on important techniques such as posture, bowing, rhythm, intonation, and tone production, ensuring a strong foundation. I break down lessons into easy steps so students can learn without confusion. I also guide students on effective practice methods that support steady improvement.
One of my proud achievements is helping students perform confidently and enjoy playing music. My aim is to make learning violin simple, effective, and rewarding.

I follow a student-centered approach in teaching violin, where communication and adaptability play a key role. I assess each student’s learning style and tailor my lessons to ensure they understand concepts clearly and progress at a comfortable pace.
My teaching includes a balance of technical training and creative exploration, focusing on posture, bow control, finger placement, and tone quality. I use real-life examples such as performing simple songs, practicing stage presence, and connecting music to emotions to make lessons more engaging.
I also incorporate supporting subjects like music theory, ear training, rhythm practice, and basic piano skills to enhance overall musical understanding. By creating a supportive and encouraging environment, I help students build confidence, discipline, and a strong connection with music.
