About Laura
My name is Laura Sharley and I graduated from theRoyal Northern College of Music in 2014 in Vocal and Opera studies! I studied with some of the worlds best opera singers such as Sandra Dugdale, Lynne Dawson, Mary Plazas, and even got a chance to meet visiting artists such as Barbara Bonney, and Katherine Jenkins!
I have worked with the Candlelight Opera Company performing operas such as Tosca at national trusts and stately homes such as Ham House and Northcote House.

I offer my students a personalised approach to training. I typically like to split lessons into segments to optimise your progress.
In our lessons we will cover:
* Vocal techniques - This is to strengthen your vocal ability to enable you to achieve areas of music you may before find difficult and taxing on your body.
* Language - If you are learning a song or aria in another language we will look at the text and perfect the pronunciations.
*Performance - I will support you to not only sing the music, but to perform. There’s a big difference to simply singing the music and performing. We want your audience to connect with you through the music!
*Reading music - If you are not yet a strong music reader then we can work on this together and in time this will become second nature!
