About Jack
My vocal career spans over 35 years in the professional live theatre and music recording industries. I received my acting and vocal training at Mount Royal College and the University of Calgary in Calgary Alberta and have acted on stages all across Canada and internationally. I have recorded 4 studio albums and continue to play and perform with the bands The Cameron Family Singers and Regal Road and was a founding member of the Juno Award winning band The Leslie Spit Treeo. Over the years I have had the privilege of sharing my knowledge and expertise with young actors from various educational institutions and theatre companies as well as writers from the University of Guelph looking to improve their live reading skills. I am a patient instructor and believe that lessons should be enjoyable as well as challenging. I work at a pace that is comfortable and appropriate for your level.

I will help you discover and access the natural resonators in your body and help you navigate them. I will provide you with exercises that will ease your nerves, help you relax and strengthen your voice safely. I will guide you in mapping the dynamics of your performance and strategies to achieve them. I will provide you with exercises to increase the strength of your voice and increase it’s range. Ultimately, I will help you discover your authentic voice that you may release it to the world.
