About Michelle
Living as a self-taught performer for 13 years means I understand the exact pressures you face when trying to find your voice. You might feel nervous about your pitch control or vocal range extension, but I am here to guide you through those hurdles with a patient approach. My background involves years of gigging in Nashville, Austin, and Washington DC, which helps me teach practical skills like stage fear management and belting technique. Because I split my time between performing and teaching adults, I see firsthand how hard it is to balance a busy career with artistic growth.
I focus heavily on vocal health and care to ensure you stay healthy while you learn to belt or refine your vibrato. Sight singing and diction are often overlooked by self-taught players who want structure, so we tackle those early on. Many of my students are adults or absolute beginners who just want to feel better about their sound. Whether you are trying to record an EP or just want to sing for fun, I keep the atmosphere light.
There is always space to experiment with your articulation during our time together. I really enjoy helping you find the clarity in your own unique instrument.

Providing clear structure is essentially the best way to ensure consistent growth in your musical ability. I offer homework vocal drills after every session to make sure you retain the techniques we cover during our time together. My approach leans on my 13 years of experience as a gigging musician to help you overcome stage fear and improve your pitch.
Adults who are new to singing often need a roadmap to manage their vocal range and health. I keep the pace steady so that you never feel overwhelmed by the technical side of things. Since I have 13 years of performance history, I treat every lesson as a chance to build real-world confidence. Let us get to work on your songs and start making some music.
