About Melissa
I started my journey in the care industry whilst working towards a degree with a young child as a single parent. I love caring for people and making a difference in the lives of others. I have been a carer for the elderly, supported adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health difficulties and currently work as a care coordinator for a care agency supporting SEND children and elderly people. It is my passion and I would love for others to learn and have the same experiences that I have.

I am a care coordinator with over 6 years' experience in the care industry. I have a degree in business management and 3 A levels including human biology, sociology and psychology and I'm currently studying level 5 management in social care. My lessons can cover anything related to elderly care and support as well as supporting adults and children with ASD and learning disabilities. From Autism awareness to the 15 standards of care. My lessons are up to 1 hour at a time and are taught virtually via video call, I aim to foster open learning.
