My approach ensures that technical hurdles are broken down into small, digestible pieces. I prioritize steady pacing so that you never feel overwhelmed by new concepts. We will work on reading tabs, lead guitar, and songwriting techniques.
My 13 years of experience allows me to customize my feedback to your current level. I offer a free trial session to assess your starting point before we move forward. This initial check helps me create a plan that fits your specific needs. I truly enjoy seeing students progress from basics to complex arrangements.

I am a methodical instructor who values clear communication. My teaching character focuses on grounding students in technique while respecting their musical goals. I hold a BM Vocal Performance degree from UBC and a TEFL certification. My background involves working with a diverse range of students from Grade 3 newcomers to adults finding their way in Canada.
I have taught 174 students, including absolute beginners, teens, and working professionals. I take pride in helping intermediate learners and grade exam candidates refine their skills. It is a joy to help people find their footing through the guitar. I hope to help you find your rhythm.
