What I feel is most beneficial for students is if they have a list of specific topics they wish to cover in a lesson, allowing me to prepare for the lesson with notes and questions. After the lesson students should have the motivation and drive to read over their notes and practice past questions before the next lesson, allowing them to create another list with specific questions we can address together. Speaking from experience, if students do not have the drive, motivation and want to achieve their necessary grades then regardless of the amount of help given, the grades will not be achieved to put it simply.
Hi! Thanks for visiting my ad! To explain a bit of background, I was on a B in Maths in Year 12 (AS) but by changing the way I worked and studied, I managed to achieve an A in my final A-Levels (Year 13), being only 3 marks off an A*. I have gained a place to study Veterinary Medicine, however was lucky enough to be granted a deferred entry, and am using my time wisely to compete whilst also trying to help out others who wish to improve their grade or just consolidate their knowledge.

Studied Maths, Further Maths, French, Geography and Physical Education GCSE's condensed into 1 year, compared to the traditional two-year program and gained all A's except for Physical Education where I was a few marks off an A. I also completed traditional two-year courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language & Literature, gaining all A's excluding English Literature where I gained a C.
I then went on to study A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, achieving all A's with my Mathematics being sent off for a re-mark due to being a few marks off an A*. This was a huge improvement to my predicted grades in Year 12, not being able to understand the new A-Level system.
Having done the new A-Level system, I have had a first-hand experience at comprehending the questions and what is required, which will be a huge benefit for many tips and tricks.
