About Bethel
I am a Warwick Law graduate with prior experience as an Intelligence Squared debater, where I was awarded Best Speaker representing my academic institution. I am currently training to be a barrister, and my legal training has strengthened my expertise in persuasive, precise speech and professional presence. Alongside this, I have previous experience teaching accent and pronunciation online to international students and professionals. I love teaching because I enjoy helping others find their voice and speak the way they want to be heard. The way you sound can open doors to opportunities, confidence, and success, in law, public speaking, at work or in everyday life.

My name is Bethel, and my teaching is rooted in precision, confidence, and results. I specialise in oral expression, linguistics, phonetics, and accent reduction, with a particular focus on Standard and RP (Queen’s) English.
My aim is not only to refine pronunciation, but to help students sound natural, educated, and at ease in professional and academic settings. I have been tutoring for 4 years and hold numerous distinction qualifications in English Speaking.
My lessons are suitable for older teenagers (16+) and adults at all levels, particularly:
- Professionals seeking a clearer, more confident English accent.
- International speakers aiming to refine pronunciation and intonation.
- Students preparing for academic, legal, or professional environments.
- Anyone wishing to develop confident, articulate spoken English.
Lessons are one hour, designed to deliver maximum speaking time, targeted correction, and visible progress in confidence, clarity, and accent from the very first session.
I adjust my learning approach based on each individual student. I typically use speaking exercises to teach accents and sentence structures. My services are accessible to all types of brains, and my classroom is a welcome space for all. I am a results-driven tutor and I believe change and results can be seen quickly with the right techniques.
I tailor every lesson to the individual, creating a focused, encouraging environment where students can develop clarity, authority, and confidence in their speech.
