I make lessons as engaging as possible and tailor each lesson to my students' needs. I focus heavily on exam technique and encourage students to think creatively and independently. Typical lessons last 1 hour, although I am flexible. I can give independent work to be completed outside of lesson times and marked for the next lesson too. I have taught from primary up to A Level in schools, tutoring centres and online. I achieved an A* in both Maths and Further Maths A Level under the new specification, so I have been where you are now. The biggest focus in my lessons are YOU! You choose what topics we cover, how we cover them and what your long term goals are. Aim high!

Perfect! Miranda has given my daughter 3 lessons, and we have found her to be calm, friendly and reliable. Most importantly, she knows her stuff and is able to explain complex GCSE maths topics in a way that my daughter understands. She feels she has already made good progress with trigonometry, which was a struggle before. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Miranda as a GCSE maths tutor.

My daughter's confidence in maths has improved massively since starting lessons with Miranda, especially in mechanics. She is actually enjoying maths now and her teachers are so impressed with her. I cannot recommend Miranda enough.
Miranda is an incredibly talented teacher, who is both patient and extremely knowledgeable, with high qualifications to back her ability. She is well-versed with the various exam boards' content and is particularly skilled at explaining concepts and curating exercises to match her student's level.
